At Smile Designers we can provide you with an affordable orthodontic treatment that can straighten your teeth, improve the appearance of your smile, and align your bite. We realize that when most people think of orthodontics, they only consider the appearance of teeth. While it is certainly accurate that orthodontic solutions like braces or Invisalign® can improve your smile, it is also true that straightening your teeth will improve your oral health. This is because straight teeth are easier to keep clean and less likely to become infected. Therefore, if you have been considering wearing FastBraces or some other type of orthodontic solution we encourage you to visit our Houston, TX dental office without delay. Both your appearance and your health will thank you.
In the meantime here is what you need to know about some common orthodontic solutions.
Braces
When it comes to orthodontics, nothing is more famous than traditional metal braces. They work incredibly well and that is why they continue to stand the test of time, being a popular treatment solution. Very often traditional metal braces are the only solution that will work for a child while adults tend to benefit from Invisalign® or FastBraces as well.
FastBraces
When it comes to an affordable orthodontic treatment you should consider FastBraces. As the name suggests, FastBraces can straighten your teeth in as little as six months. This makes them incredibly convenient and also very popular with our Texas patients. The process works by placing brackets on your teeth just like we would with normal braces. However, the brackets and the wires are designed to produce the same results more quickly. Although this is using the best and modern technology FastBraces are an affordable orthodontic treatment because you're going to spend less time visiting the orthodontist. That savings is passed on to you.
Invisalign®
At Smile Designers we recommend Invisalign® as a treatment solution for any of our patients that are worried about how they will look while they are straightening their teeth. With Invisalign® nothing is permanently secured to your teeth. Instead, you wear a clear plastic liner that resembles the appearance of a full plastic retainer. As long as you keep your teeth and your aligners clean, no one should be able to tell that you're straightening your teeth. Instead, your teeth will continue to shine through when you smile and when you speak, meaning that your teeth are the star of the show and not your orthodontics treatment. Additionally, Invisalign® provides a variety of conveniences that are not available with traditional braces or other orthodontics methods. This is because the aligners are designed to be removable, giving you the ability to control your daily schedule.
Houston Retainers
If you were looking for an affordable orthodontic treatment and previously wore braces as a child you may only need new retainers. It is normal for teeth to shift out of position after the braces have come off. Consider how far your teeth had to move initially and it will seem obvious why they can move slightly after the fact. This is why at Smile Designers we recommend that our Houston patients wear retainers for a set period of time after their braces have come off. Typically this will help your teeth to remain in place. However if they have shifted to the point that you are starting to notice, it is wise for you to get new retainers made and wear them on a daily basis. If you live in the 77089 area we can provide you with this service as an easy solution for making minor adjustments to your teeth.
